RUTLAND — Rutland Women’s Healthcare, a department at Rutland Regional Medical Center, has been awarded Safety Certification in Outpatient Practice Excellence (SCOPE) for its women’s health program. SCOPE is a safety-focused program of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Rutland Women’s Healthcare is among the first ob-gyn offices in the country to be certified.
SCOPE is a comprehensive patient safety review program available to medical practices in which obstetrics and/or gynecology services are provided.
“Congratulations to the entire staff at Rutland Women’s Healthcare for achievement of SCOPE certification,” said Kathleen Craig, director of Women’s and Children’s Services at Rutland Regional Medical Center. “This has been a two-year process of training, changing workflows, developing systems and processes to ensure we meet every element of ACOG guidelines for patient safety.”
