WATERBURY — Solar company SunCommon will host a public celebration at their new headquarters at 442 Route 2 in Waterbury at 10 a.m. on Tuesday.
Because of Vermont’s growing solar industry, the company outgrew their old office space and it was time for a move to a bigger, more efficient space, according to company officials.
They said this new building creates clean power and decreases dependency on fossil fuels.
There will be a short press conference with key speakers, including the building’s nationally-recognized architect Bill McClay; Zoe Gordon, economic development director for Revitalizing Waterbury; and Green Mountain Power CEO Mary Powell.
Office tours will be given and light refreshments will be served.
